Don McCumber and daughter Shae-Lynn with Nova Scotian Flag

Don McCumber, Vice President of the Army Cadet League and his daughter, Shae-Lynn paid tribute at the Repatriation ceremony held in Trenton on January 3rd for Sgt. Kirk Taylor who was killed in Afghanistan on December 30th.   He was with the 84th Independent Field Battery and deployed with the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction team. Sgt. Taylor was a past Army Cadet with the 110 Yarmouth Cadet Corps and has been an active participant with the Army Cadet Corps before being deployed. Don McCumber was a past Cadet Officer with the same Corps, hence the Nova Scotia flag in the photo above. In the future, letters of condolences from the Army Cadet League will be sent to the families of fallen soldiers of the Canadian Forces who were past Army Cadets.
