Maj. JET Smith accepting his collage of memorable photos from President Ray Smith

Major JET Smith served as a reservist with the Algonquin Regiment as the RSM.  He retired from the Military 34 years ago and joined the Cadet Instructor Cadre.  For 11 years, Maj. Smith was an officer with 204 RCACC North Bay and the Commanding Officer for 5 years of those 11 years.  He joined the Army Cadet League 23 years ago and is a founding member of the Army Cadet League of Canada (Ontario).  Presently, he is the Zone Liaison Officer for several Cadet Corps in the North, as well as a member of the Board of Directors.  He is also a Life member of the Army Cadet League of Canada and has attended the weekly parade at the Cadet Corps for the past 23 years.  He is known to every Cadet Corps in the North and even has his own mail box at the North Bay Detachment.  JET has decided to step down from his position as of June 2010.  We are sorry to see him go and it would be remiss not to honour him.
